wow, what a wonderful sommerly weather *.*...i'm really enjoying this, perhaps i should go for a walk later on...but despite this nice weather i'm supposed to be studiying for the english and chemistry tests next week, mainly because tomorrow i'll be attending the confirmation (firmung) of one of my cousins in stuttgart, which means i'll be gone the whole day.. and despite the fact that i'm supposed to study today, so far i haven't done anything... i only read and ate.. and ate some more xD.. and i had to fix a problem at my computer -.-...but at LEAST i did my homework...yesterday i watched lady and the tramp.... i don't like but LOVE disney movies.. they're simply the best.. pheww.. seems like i'm running out of topics again x) i know i'm hopeless...i could talk about the books i'm reading atm.. one is called 'a short history of nearly everything' by bill bryson, that i already mentioned in a former entry.. it's not a story, but like a rough-guide to science and scientific insights and findings (it's not written by a scientist, so he explains everything not assuming that the reader has any basic knowledge or even understanding for science, in other words it's an everybodies book, one doesn't need to be particularly talented in science) and an outline of all of earths history under the assumption that the big bang theory and the evolutionary theory are true.. i like the way he writes, but i don't like the parts so much where he tells the life stories of scientists, because i'm not that interested in autobiographies..although he is good in making it as interesting as possible even for people like me... i wouldn't recommend this book to just anyone, because one has to have at least a certain interest in science... the other book is rather scientific (in case you're thinking that the first one also is: it's not REALLY scientific, it's ABOUT science, but it's written for average people to get a basic idea of earths history and science). it's called 'aus sicht des gehirns' by gerhard roth, and as the title already tells it's about the brain and furthermore about anything to do with cognition, the concious, perception and it's limits, our subconcious and wether or not free will even exists and if so to what extend.. i fully understand if i seem a bit weird for not only being interested in such things but really buying  monotonously written complicated books like this one, but i'm just fascinated by those things (and in defense for these books i gotta say that i like the scientific correct way it's written..) it also assumes that the evolutionary theory is true, but i don't think that any book in that fashion wouldn't...emm eyyup i think this entry is coming to an end.. also because my parents and i are gonna go grab something to eat now.. now that i'm thinking about food.. i'm hungry xD....so enjoy the nice weather as long as it lasts.. see you on monday :)

  4. hmm... I OUGHT to have studied too but I had problems with my computer... ;DDD (no, the second thing is only partly true. Just couldn't get myself doing it... and I read an (ehm, or were it more than one?) interesting book with no scientificial things at all ;) - maybe that's not my world, but anyway, somehow i HAVE to get my mind wrapped around that chemistry stuff! Do you think you maybe could help me a little and explain this benzol-reactions to me for an umptienth time? :) *nice smile* ?

  5. Wow, I'm surprised you're reading books like that in your free time!
Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my scientific interest is only in the micro range ;-)

  6. okay...here comes my weekly comment...ummm ó.ò I actually needa reread this entry, give me a moment..

    *4 minutes later*

okay...FIRST thing that comes to my mind..you said "monotonously written"!! and THAT is the bacon that you're gonna give me to read after I finished the other synapse-blowing one?! :OO you are really trying to murder me huh? x))) ;) you know, after German LK today I though I must continue reading your book, it fits in perfectly, seriously, today we were discussing the statement "language is our only access to reality"...pretty awesome stuff, the only problem is that the lady doesn't have a sense for logic or philosophy and neither does everyone in the course, so it feels like there's a bit delicious tart standing on the table and somehow due to these circumstances we aren't capable of eating it...on second thoughts, maybe it's a good thing you're not in this course after all x)))

I like the sentence you wrote with the word "fashion" in it, I think you ought to reread it and feel stomachpaintbrushed for such concise choice of words *pats back*...*or head* apologies for my denglish today...

I like how the entry became so long only cuz you decided to write about the books you're reading, btw HOW long are you still gonna read that Bryson book?! didn't you start it months ago??

I told you you have 48 hours to read by book didn't I?

    3. to read this conversation is funnier than ANY blogpost :DDDD and I'm not quite sure whether you two are creating a new meaning for the expression 'stomachpaintbrushed' ? And I think too that German LK IS a very good thing to have chosen - we'll only have to make that lady understand what and how WE want to discuss ;)

  7. it IS working..I'm half-dead already...and I'm only a 1/4 through :/ that means I'll be..waiiit...e.e..I'll be 2x dead by the time I finish - okay that doesn't sound cool. I though it would be some amazing sounding fraction...naah man actually I read it VOLUNTARILY :3

hahahahaha that made me laugh, I think I would suffer from your facial expressions in class, I mean, why do you think I keep my head down? if looks could kill man... x))

eons? is that sth chemical :/? sure sounds like it....

    I know, I know, and I know I didn't...but you should begin, that's a rule in general, otherwise you'll never start ó.ò
